There is a choice of apartments, villas and hotels, and also an innovative Homestays option. With the Homestay programme on Maio Island, Maio Eco Tours provides tourists with the experience of life in a traditional village. The women involved in the Homestay programme are committed to ensuring that visitors experience the village lifestyle first-hand. All those who participate in the Homestay programme are carefully selected and adhere to strict guidelines from the Ministry of Tourism in order to bring out the best of Maio Island. Villa Maio in Stella Maris
This villa is located within the gated Stella Maris. The house can sleep 6, and comprises three bedrooms – one with king size bed; one with two single beds and a mezzanine with two single beds. There is a comfortable living room, two dining tables each seating 6 (one inside and one on the terrace. The kitchen is equipped with everything needed for self-catering, including cooker and fridge-freezer. The bathroom includes a shower, toilet and bidet. The garden is beautifully designed with a mixture of tropical plants and two sun loungers and there are views to the sea. There is a shared salt-water infinity pool just 20m from the house and from the pool there is access down steps formed in the cliffs to a small beach.

For those who need a quiet location these flats are perfect. There are flats with air conditioning, beds for babies and children, balconies. They are located 10 minutes from the beautiful beach of Ponta Preta and 200m from the town of Porto Ingles.

Hotel Big Game Maio
Hotel Big Game Maio is located in Vila do Maio (Porto Inglês) specifically on the main avenue and features a restaurant. All rooms have air-conditioning, a balcony and a terrace. The rooms also have a refrigerator.
Hotel Atlantic Hauses
Hotel Atlantic Hauses is located in the centre of Porto Ingles and is the oldest hotel on the island. In front of it there is an emblematic monument, the house of Nhu Antonio Evora, one of the best known men on the island in the past. It is 5 minutes from the main beach of Bixi Rotcha (or Bitxe Rotxa) and next to the most beautiful churches of Cape Verde.
Silver House
Silver House is a new hotel establishment in Maio Island. It is situated in Porto Inglês (Vila do Maio) in front of the most beautiful and famous beach of Beach Rotxa. We offer affordable accommodation including breakfast. Also in the same complex we have live music through our Lounge.
